The "Russian Toy Dog" briginates from Russia and has been provisionally entered by the FCI in Group 9 under Standard No. 352.

The "Russian Toy Dog" is a small, elegant and long-limbed dog that can be either short-haired or long­haired. It can reach 28 cm in height and 3 kg in weight. The coat is either short and straight or long and can be black and tan, brown and tan or blue and tan. Even red shadings with or without black or brown overlay are possible. The head is small, but the eyes are large, roundish and dark. The upright ears are large and thin. The "Russian Toy Dog" is an active, very bright companion dog that is neither fearful nor aggressive.
